Online insomnia treatment across Washington
Washington-licensed clinicians can treat patients anywhere in the state by private video. You must be in Washington during each appointment. We see most patients via telehealth with Washington-licensed clinicians, and a limited number of clinicians also see patients in person.
In network with Aetna, Cigna / Evernorth, Medicare, Premera Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare / Optum — the practice bills these plans directly.
Video care throughout Washington

A limited number of in-person appointments are available at 14110 NE 21st St., Bellevue, WA 98007. Availability is confirmed when you book.
We provide online counseling for chronic insomnia. The treatment is called CBT-I and is explained below.

Your first six to eight weeks
Chronic insomnia is trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or returning to sleep on three or more nights a week for at least three months. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) changes sleep timing and habits during weekly appointments. It does not use medication. The first visit lasts about 50 minutes. Your clinician asks about your current sleep and what you have tried. Afterward, you spend two minutes each morning noting bedtime, sleep, waking and getting up. Those notes guide a sleep window, the set bedtime and wake time your clinician widens as sleep improves. Treatment often runs for six to eight weeks. Changes may become noticeable within the first few weeks. See how to get started.
Sleep apnea interrupts breathing during sleep and is often linked with loud snoring. Sleep apnea and insomnia often occur together. We treat the insomnia, we have partners who treat the apnea, and our clinician coordinates any referral that is needed.
Questions about online sleep care in Washington
Do you cover every part of Washington?
Yes. Washington licences cover all 39 counties. You can have a video appointment from Bellingham, Aberdeen, Vancouver, Wenatchee, Walla Walla or Colville. Distance only matters if you want an in-person appointment in Bellevue.
Do I need to be physically in Washington for each session?
Yes. The licence applies to your location during the appointment, not the address on your insurance card. You can take the call at home, at work or at school if you have privacy. If an appointment would happen while you are outside Washington, contact us first.
Should I look for a sleep specialist or a therapist?
For chronic insomnia, those roles can be the same person. Our therapists are licensed in Washington and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. CBT-I improves sleep timing, daily habits and how you respond to sleeplessness. If you may have sleep apnea, your clinician coordinates care with a partner who treats it.
